DJ Martina Mak for live performances

MARTINA MAK

Martina Mak has a deep love for music with a diverse pallette from Disco/Funk/SOUL to Hip Hop & Rnb & House & Latin music! Her DJ style is interactive & upbeat and she is known for playing all of the best throwbacks guaranteed to get people out of their seats and onto the dancefloor.

  • It's a tie between two of my favourite musicians, Lauryn Hill & D'Angelo that both performed at one of the best venues in the world, The Sydney Opera House.

  • Off The Wall by Michael Jackson. Produced by one of my favourite composers Quincy Jones.

  • Prince, Nate Dogg & Amy Winehouse.

  • The first is an Auckland staple, Ponsonby Social Club. This was my favourite place to go out for years and now I pinch myself everytime I get to play music there. My second pick is a very special underground cocktail lounge in Parnell, Crown Range Lounge. The venue, sound and over all vibe is immaculate everyday of the week. If you haven't yet been, check it out, you're in for a treat.

DJ Peter Urlich for hire

PETER
URLICH

Peter has arguably shaped the modern DJ landscape in NZ since he started a venue called A Certain Bar in Wellesley St in 1980. Previously lead singer in legendary band, TH’ DUDES, P.U. as he’s known, always had a fondness for funky music and when the band broke up, he went to London and was enthralled by the New Wave and the very danceable electronic tracks that were emerging. He returned to NZ with a case full of 7-inch singles and started his bar where he could spin them to a local audience starved of such exciting tracks. It was a huge success and so he and business partner, Mark Phillips went on to open a string of legendary nightclubs that would ignite the local DJ scene. A move to radio at 95bFM eventually brought about the famous NICE’N’URLICH

Partnership with a young Bevan Keys and these 2 are still going strong after 27 years of unforgettable parties. PU hosted George FM Breakfast for 6 years when it was still cool, playing funky House tracks at 6.30 in the morning to an adoring listenership. PU’s love of music, energy, showmanship and ability to talk to his audience, plus 44 years in the art of ‘reading the room’ makes him a very attractive DJ for your next event.
